See, that's pretty much my style.  He's just a bit smarter than I am, so it
flies better.

He's right about C++, btw.  I -hate- compiling C++, largely because it
compiles about 4x slower than C.  Seeing C++ in the requirements or when
you start a build is a cue to go take a nap, get laid, work on music, play
a game, or possibly several or all of the above, depending upon the size of
the build.  C++ source also tends to be huge in comparison to straight C.

Also haven't been a SuSE fan since SuSE Pro 9 went EOL.  It went from one
of the best engineered to one of the worst.

I can't back him on EMACS.  I loved emacs.  I've dropped it as an editor,
but still use emacs CLI controls.  (Multi-modal CLI controls over my dead
body...)  EMACS was great, though.  It was huge in comparison to anything
else, though.  We used to call it 'Eight Megs And Contantly Swapping'.
