corrupted Index

I have a processing table that rebuilds all automatic indexes that I run either every night or once a week on a few of my clients' systems. It does not solve the problem like fixing the code would, but it may help while you are trying to track down the root cause and is still not a bad idea to run weekly even when you do. I'd could send you the processing table I wrote if you are interested.

In what way is it getting "corrupted"?
I might suggest the first think to do is set PFCHECKLOCK=ON and
PFCHECKLOCKLOG=/path/to/a/logfile. See if there are any unprotected lookups
that are being modified.
(Also, what is a "sometimes large file"?)
