Hello Jim, hope all is well in you end of woods!

I am a bit confused, and that is why I asked the question.  Please tell 
me if I am understanding
your explanation correctly:

A printer being PCL6 compatible does not necessarily mean it will print 
HPGL documents as expected

For some reason, I always think PCL6 when looking for printers as if 
this means they would also be PCL## back-compatible ...  :-(

Truly appreciate your valuable input and help clarify this.
