I was going to say that it's a mismatch between TERM and the terminal 
emulator, but that doesn't apply to Windows.

What version of filePro are you using?  It sounds like the console windows 
is on the wrong "code page", but I thought that the Windows version of 
filePro wasn't affected by this.

What does "mode con" show for "code page"?  (It is normally "437".)  If it's 
not 437, does this help:

     mode con cp select=437

(You have to run it from the same window in which you run filePro.)
