These are all factors to consider.  Buying gasoline has been an issue, but
I have always been able to get it at Costco even when most area stations
were out.

The real problems will occur when the currency collapses and hyperinflation
sets in.  We are really starting to see the effects of Bernanke's
"Quantitative Easing" and the resulting devaluation of the dollar with many
prices rising rapidly as the value of the dollar continues its inexorable
path to 0 purchasing power.
