Ken,
Most people don't think about all of the electronics they depend on daily.
And if you suggest that they spend even $75.00 for a simple battery backup
unit, they look at you like your crazy. I have gotten some neighbors to
install battery backup units on their pc's as they leave them on and
Maryland does have periodic power problems. At least they protect the pc's.
With regards to last night, on comment my wife made, made me smile, she said
"my laptop is plugged in and didn't go off". I had to remind her that it
went on battery when the power went off. She is a smart lady but sometimes
she just doesn't think things through.
