Not available on Windows. (Well, the select() function call is available,
but it works only with sockets.) Yes, there are other Windows API calls
which filePro can use to not sit forever in a "read a character from the
keyboard" call. And, in fact, filePro already uses them, and has done so
for years.
And consider, for example, PFMBTO on *nix.
