file too large

I am suggesting that you create an additional - new - archive file.  Per my 
suggestion you would not be permanently deleting anything - ALL the records 
would still be in your hldkey and hlddata - as long as you do not delete them.  
You can recover them at a future date at your leisure.

Yes, my suggestion would give your the most recent 6 months in your original 
file - but all the records would still exist in hldkey and hlddata.
