Locked record

Jeff,

I was not insulted by what Mark said. When I make a mistake or forget the
difference and ask for a reply, the answer is more important to me then any
comments.

While at basic training, back in the '60's I was insulted by some of the
best drill sgts. Mark's comments were noted. Besides I have spoken with
Mark and have a very good working relationship with him.

Besides, I was taught to ignore such "insults". This is the problem with
today's kids, they need to learn to ignore what they like to call "dis's".
Everyone would be better off.

There are more serious things to get upset about then someone's response to
my question.

Richard Kreiss

Mark, :-) There was certainly offense intended. It was surprising to me
that you would not know such a thing, but it was also surprising that
Richard did not know it. I often deal with very intelligent people that
seem to have a blind spot here or there.

I have noticed over the years that many people get confused over filepro's
record locking vs. the lockfile, so when you wrote that I was thinking, "Oh
no, there is another one!". Granted, if I would have considered the source
more carefully I would have realized your joke.

Sometimes smileys are appropriate [ :-) ]
