proven themselves an utter git by pronouncing:

People keep harping about SyFy, and I just pay no attention. I don't have
cable or satellite--I buy what series I watch on DVD so I can watch them As
God Intended[tm], in widescreen and without commercial interruption.
People are talking about Caprica's scheduling, and I literally said on one
site, "Who cares? The -real- question is, when are the DVDs being released
so I can watch it at all?"

SyFy has pumped a lot of money into production of several series that I
love, including Stargate SG-1, Stargate Atlantis, and Battlestar Galactica.
They left BSG alone aside from one deviation they forced--and then they
backed off due to backlash. They managed to cancel the first two Stargate
series. *glare* Both could have kept going, easily. I haven't picked up
the first two seasons of Stargate Universe yet...apparently season 1.5
comes out tomorrow. Money is tight right now, so that's gonna have to
wait, much as I hate to wait. I'm in the middle of watching Farscape for
the first time right now, anyway.

Mostly, I have nothing but contempt for SyFy, as do many. Their original
movies are supposed to suck, they cancel good series in favour of picking
up wrestling, of all things, etc. They are -not- well loved by science
fiction fans.
