Never heard of that.
I think windows may sometimes (always?) refuse to share a drive that is only 
a mounted share itself though.

ie:
Computer A shares a folder c:/data as share name data
Computer B mounts //A/data as E:. now B has a drive E:
Computer B will refuse to share E:/
