problem with form and printer file...I think

Running into a problem that I -think- is related to using FORM with
PRINTER FILE at the same time.
I'm setting the filename for the output with PRINTER FILE. It's just one
filename that shouldn't change.
I've got a FORM in place that was there in extant code which has been
adapted by me for a slightly different purpose by adding specifically
PRINTER TYPE, PRINTER NAME, and changing how processing gets one value.
Problem: It should be generating multiple pages of output, but what I'm
getting in the file is apparently only the last page of the report. The
developer has verified that I'm making it past the 4th record, although I
only get 4 records--but they're the last 4 records, and it's basically
identical to his last page of the non-modified run of this.
My suspicion is that my file is being overwritten each time FORM is issued
because I'm using PRINTER FILE instead of an actual printer.
I've tried using FORMM instead of FORM, to no avail. In my opinion, that
should have worked but didn't.
Any ideas on how to easily solve this? I'm -really- wanting to avoid
multiple filenames with index numbers, re-assembly, etc.
