Blissfully so!

OH, all those messages of pure disgusting vitriole from you about me are my
imagination, huh? You live in a strange world in which whatever you want to
be true is true.

I thoroughly apprise users of the CD's as to the test nature of all
examples, including the ready-to-run complete applications. It was (I
suppose) my fault to not do the same thing in the note to the list. I had
thought the warnings and notes *in* the code itself would be enough. Your
advisory *was* well placed. Although, I don't think as critically necessary
as you made it sound. If there truly are people out there that are writing
applications who don't know the meaning and use of the "/tmp" directory or
the %WINDIR%TEMP folder, then your message was apropos. Most programmers
should know... anything put there is up for grabs and can not be relied upon
to be there the next time you look. I feel like it would be a huge
imposition on anyone posting here to add a warning about this *every* time
they ever throw something up for public consumption. To me it would be
tantamount to remarking every time you show an example using "foo" and
"foobar" that they are not real filenames, but just convenient for the
current explanation.

Wow! An apology... Well, that's odd... possibly the first thing I've seen
you write that I can agree with. I thought it was "silly", too. And, knowing
that the "finger" you *usually* raise to things I say is not one of the
nicer gestures, I reacted badly with my over-the-top response. My apologies
as well. Can this perhaps, be a new, saner beginning for us??? Or should I
turn the killfile back on? I know you don't care a fig for what I do or
think... but your comment about me not being a full participant here really
*pissed* me off... I abhor the fact the *you* (and a couple others) force me
to squelch some of the input from this list. It annoys me, but if your
comments are going to stay on the vile level they have been in the past, the
switch goes on again immediately. And, yes, more is the pity, *I* am the
loser in that case... as are we *all* since "the few" broght nastiness and
unconcern for people's enjoyment of this forum to the place back about 1999
or thereabouts. Life sucks people say... and they may be right, but it
doesn't have to suck here. Does it?
