Actually, I'm rethinking it in that context.
What happens if either NAT or a lousy firewall situation does allow that.
You'd have identical IP#'s, potentially identical timestamps and PID's.
I'm not saying it's -likely-, but it -is- possible within finite odds.
Back to square one then... Short of binding to something like a MAC
address or HD serial number (neither of which do I consider acceptable
approaches), there's still the same problem.
