There is one catch ...  By using "switchto" you keep 
your new screen but what happens if your user presses
X and then 3?  Your user is now adding a new record
starting at the last switched screen - God forbid if
this screen does not have open fields ... and user attempts
to add a new record.

Just make sure you have code to counter this potential
problem.
