Sharing of TAPI Information

Marvin,
This will be PBX specific.
For example we have own filePro CGI program and Cisco IPCC VoIP system
that is used in two Australian sites and several Asian sites. I then
wrote a little TAPI client in C# using .net that interfaces with Cisco
IPCC. On machine startup it "registers" with IPCC with an IP and an
extension. When the phone rings, physical handset or softphone, so
this works for a user on a softphone say in a hotel over VPN as well,
IPCC using TAPI passes the caller ID to the app on the PC "associated"
with the phone, it fires off IE with a URL that is a CGI call with the
caller ID passed as a parameter.
By the time the user picks up the call and says G'Day, our custom
written CRM has loaded with everything you could ever want to know
about that customer, outstanding orders for spares and repairs,
invoices, statement of account, etc.
So it can be done but it isn't a filePro issue its a PBX issue.
