Dear filePro List Members,

In about 3 weeks, I will be releasing a new filePro product. Quite
spectacular really... but I don't want to exactly describe it yet... it's
coming soon enough. Some people know what it is already, most of you on the
list here should, I've been talking about it here and there for quite some
time. But, I'll let it take care of itself. This is a different thing
although tangentially part of it, and therefore can walk on it's own.

In simple terms, I want to show you all the very coolest piece of filePro
code I have ever written. It is only a few lines, but it is amazing. Will I
tell you what it does? No. It is a tiny part of the upcoming product, but it
does not show up in exactly this pre-packaged form. This code is complete as
a demo with data, but the code part is a "drop-in" piece that you can use in
any of your applications (be they private company or commercial apps, no
matter[1]). However, unlike a lot of the other code I write... actually
almost all the other code I write... I'm not going to give this away for
free. It is simply too good, and too useful... and well, no one values very
highly the things they get for free. Also, it will be a test of my new web
purchase automation stuff... so it will be ready for the big release in
June.

This little package costs $48, and it will be emailed to you upon your
completion of a secure credit card purchase on my site. (Both a Windows
version .zip file, and a *nix version .gz file will be sent.) I feel this
little code snippet/program/drop-in is so good, that you may have your money
back if you don't agree. Really, it is just too cool. :-)

Remember, I have supplied some very nifty filePro utilities in the past...
Among my inventions are the use of lookup dash on sort/selection tables to
speed up record selection, practical sideways-scrolling browses, DocGen, The
Guru Magazine, The filePro cookBook, The filePro biBle, the first on-line FP
Manual The FP Room and a host of other things I'm too modest to list here.
:-) :-)

I'm not going to tell you anything about this snippet, other than it is an
extremely useful function with which you can enhance all your programs. You
just have to trust me. So, if you're ready to buy a pig in a poke... go to
www.valar.com/single and put up your $48. You won't regret it. And if you
like what you see, come back in a few weeks and get the next "new
invention"... it's even better, cooler and will be far more valuable to you
than this teaser item... But, don't miss out on this because you think it
will be part of both products, it won't... and I will be removing it for
sale before the other product comes out. At that point you will have missed
out. The opposite is also true... For those who do take the plunge and want
to see just what it is that has me so excited, there is a hidden extra
benefit. I may be releasing an item like this every month for the next
year... and your purchase of the first would entitle you to that whole
series for no additional charge. A lot depends on circumstances beyond my
control... so I can't promise that I will repeat this act of largess every
month from now on... but, in any case, you will have made out very well
indeed because I wrote this particular function on private hire last week
for several hundred dollars. $48 is not even 1/2 of my hourly fee. Want to
be in the running for the next 11 electronic distributions? Go for this
pig... you'll be happy you did.

P.S. - I know there will be a lot of screaming, shouting and gnashing of
teeth... How dare that Esak for "selling" us a small bit of code... He's
probably desperate for money, the big jerk. Well, money is always nice, but
those who know me, know that I don't need your $48... even if 20 or 50 of
you actually do send it my way. I will most likely use it to do something
else good for the filePro community... or, who knows, I may use it for
dinner with Mickey at Disney World when I go next month... it is of no
consequence. I am simply "selling" this fantastic tool for the exact reasons
I've stated above... nothing more, nothing less. (And remember, money back
if you don't think this is $48 worth of code. Judge it by what you charge to
write it, or what you have been charged when someone else write such things
for you. And remember, please judge it also by it's quality and
professionalism... again, against your own work, or that which you might get
from your consultants. (By the way, in 25 years of writing and publishing
filePro code, I have never seen anything like this... it simply has not been
done before... and I, myself, have wanted it since the very first time I saw
filePro/Profile... just never actually took the time to do it.)

[1] The license extends to your use and modification within your own
programs or even those you release for sale. It does not allow you to
publish this code in any public media, like this forum or the Internet,
without specific permission of The Valar Group, Corp.
