OT: print a pdf from command line

Bob,

All I can say it worked.  Once I created a printer with the correct HP 
driver a simple lpr filename.pdf printed just fine.
A few issues, but overall it worked.  I believe the issues are driver 
related, so I am looking for a better drivers for the HP models I will 
be using.

The same printer would not work with filepro.  I just tried hard copying 
a screen and it was not pretty.
But, this particular application will mainly involve shell scripts and 
system commands, so I will just created special pdf printers as needed.

I will be experimenting.
