YEah lunacon! ummmmm i don't quite remeber where we met (had a litle to much
of that red stuff to drink you know??) but we did talk abot UNIX i was
trying to figurout how to integreat visual-Basic anyway i stoped workin on
that so i didnt send it to U so anyway lunacon was Not as good this year the
filk was boring so Ive never been to balticon as it as big as the lunacon???
how is the filk
-------
I don't know. Somehow I've managed never to have been to a Balticon yet. I
think Balticon is a big filk con because I have several cd's and tapes of
filk from past Balticons and I don't see a lot of recordings like that from
most other cons. Only certain ones like Philcon is another. I DO usually
make it to that. It's only about 1 1/2 hours drive away after all.
The coolest thing happened the other day. I saw a documentary movie called
"Trekkies 2" on one of the premium channels (hbo/cinemax/showtime), and for
5 or 10 minutes they talked about filk and talked to filkers and showed some
snips of performances, and I knew every one of the filkers shown!
I've sat in filk circles with all of them all through the night or even all
weekend numerous times at conventions all over the place. I can't wait to
see them at Balticon (At least some that were on the show, I'm sure will be
a balticon) and tell them I saw them on HBO.
