dclerk aborts on scan/selection - why?

What do you mean by "Cannot do anything with an index
if someone is in the file"? That does not sound
correct to me. Someone can of course edit a record
and therefore access and change an index while someone
else is scanning the file. There should not be a
problem there. This is a multi-user application after
all.
Also, if the lockfile does get out of sync, then it
may prevent him from going into dclerk, but once he is
in dclerk it should not cause an abort.
