(It's on page 81 of the first release of the QRG, and page 83 of the
second release.)
Since PFPRINTER is what pmaint sets in order to define the default
printer, they are one and the same.
Setting PFPRINTER in the environment "overrides" the default printer
only because the environment overrides the config file, and so your
PFPRINTER environment variable overrides the PFPRINTER in the config
file.  (In other words, you have changed your default printer.)
