The one place I can see this is on a windows box where one opens a processing
table twice so as to be able to view 2 separate area of the table together.

I would love a function to be able to open a processing table in a "read-only"
mode.

Yes, one can use ddefine and also open the table in an editor.

Even using notepad, I am able to open a processing table more then once.
