I don't think so.  I think the point was to try to
help people to ask Smart Questions, and also to help
people give good answers.  I'll grant you that a
byproduct of this document is to try to explain the
often rude behaviour of people answering the
questions.

Um, yes we are. :-)  The fact that there may be a
reason that we get testy does not mean that asshole is
an inaccurate description.
