OT: Apple switch to Intel - FP on OSX?

Technically speaking, it should actually work on the PPC versions.  I think
someone (Ken?) mentioned this to me the last time the subject came up.

Even -if- it -can- do it, the odds are that they won't put the resources
into making it happen.  It took something like three odd years (maybe
more?) to get the FBSD port out of them.  And they had more people then.
And more interest in FBSD than the two people that have asked for Mac.

Now...you're talking about taking (updated, granted) 1979 terminal-based
technology and slapping it into a system that is known (by and large) as a
very GUI and user-friendly system?  I don't think they'll bite.  I'd be
very surprised if they would.  It makes no sense from a marketing
standpoint, as your average Mac user probably won't even consider it once
they see it, given the UI they're used to.  I'm not talking power users,
I'm talking your average Mac user.

Possible?  Probably to almost definitely.

Probable?  Kinda doubtin' it.
