Boy, it did take us some time... me for about an hour day before yesterday
and Tony and I another hour or so yesterday. In any case... Ken rsponded to
me privately that this VERY bug was reported after the release of 5.0.14 and
therefore is ALREADY FIXED for the next version! Yay!!!! That is great
news. I was afraid that they TPTB might think this too obscure an issue to
work on right away... I'm so happy to see that it is already done. Because,
actually, you lose tremendous flexibility if you can't ALWAYS rely on the
declare'd variables to work properly. I can't wait for the new version now
even more than before. I _need_ the 2gig limit and the 26 automatic idnexes,
so I'm counting the days now.
