|I just wanted to share a tool that I just started using called Navicat.

|It has an insane number[0] of import and export formats compared to
|something like phpMyAdmin. While not free, it does come with a 30 day
|eval so at least its not like a "pig in a poke"[1].

Navicat is awesome, though the interface is somewhat clunky.  I prefer EMS
MySQL Manager (http://www.ems-hitech.com) since EMS has tools for many
popular RDMS's, and the interface is very Microsoft Office-like.

We religiously use filePro for data manipulation on imports/exports, then
putting the data back into MySQL tables via EMS.
