And I moved out of the Northwest years before that. But I lived
East of the Cascades and I grew up in a town that was in the
Bitteroot mountain range - that's the range west of the Rockies.
There was more than 1 winter with 5 feet of snow in the front
yard. Always 20 feet of snow at the pass 15 miles away on the
Idaho / Montana border. I remember one time they plowed the
football field for our annual game with our bitterest rivals and
marketd the football sidelines with charcoal.
Currently 78 degress - overnight low to be 58. I've learned to
tolerate the occaisional 30 degree nights - but they do make me
thing I'd like to move further south :-)
Only bad thing for allergy sufferers we were about #5 in the
highest pollen counts in the country yesterday.
