TO CAPR SUPPORTERS,
For those of you who missed our highly acclaimed Critical Areas workshops
given the day of the 2011 CAPR Banquet back in March, please see the
announcement below. The Whatcom Co. chapter of CAPR is sponsoring a full
day version of hyrogeologist Steve Neugebauer's wetlands seminar. Steve's
presentation will give you not only the basic facts you need to know about
wetlands but also arm you with the knowledge as to what wetlands aren't !
Steve's handouts alone are worth the drive. Steve's talks will be followed
by a presentation on land-use issues by attorney Charlie Klinge from the
firm of Groen, Stephens & Klinge. Charlie was presented the McFarland Award
at the 2011 CAPR Banquet in recognition of his contributions to protecting
property rights. We would like to thank both Steve and Charlie for these
pro bono presentations.
Don't miss this opportunity!

To CAPR Nat'l's Board of Governors and Select Affiliates and Friends:
On behalf of Whatcom Chapter, Citizens' Alliance for Property Rights
(CAPR), I am sending you this link to our website for the flyer on our local
Wetland etc Class. Please go to http://www.proprights.org/whatcom
<http://click.icptrack.com/icp/relay.php?r=1836788&msgid=131098&act=7W7V&c=7
45769&destination=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.proprights.org%2Fwhatcom%2F> , then
click on Wetlands Seminar, upper left corner. The flyer has a PayPal and map
link, etc.
Some of you have taken Steve's part of this class recently in the Seattle
area, and most of you know Charlie. As you know, both speakers are quite
knowledgeable and informative. This class will be more focused on Whatcom
County. There will be hand-outs, and time for questions etc.
The venue is a modern high school auditorium, capacity of 400! and the lunch
in the cafeteria will be great! Its in a rural, central county area just off
a major state highway, SR 539, about 5 miles off I-5 from Exit 256.
Although we know its a long way from where many of you live, we do hope to
see some of you here! But please register early.
We have also sent this notice to the Whatcom County and other local Planning
Departments, our County Council and Planning Commission, and to many land
use attorneys and consultants, engineers and architects, and wetland
scientists in the area. Feel free to forward.
Thanks, please call me or Ron Reimer, 815 5914, if questions.
