The CAPR Executive Board strongly urges you to support Justice Richard
Sanders. It is more important than ever that we elect judges who respect and
apply the constitution as it was written and intended. Please contribute
what you can!

Jeff Wright
Secretary, CAPR
  _____

A true champion of property rights, Justice Richard Sanders, is up for
re-election this year. Sanders' has been on the state Supreme Court for 15
years, where he's been a fearless and effective defender of individual
rights, government accountability, and the Washington Constitution.

This year we awarded Justice Sanders the McPherson award for his defense of
property rights. He has earned our wholehearted support. Please make
<http://fs11.formsite.com/stshore/formJusticeSanders2/index.html> a
contribution today to this outstanding Justice.

Justice Sanders has written more opinions (and dissents) than any other
Justice. He's always willing to make the extra effort, and do the extra
work, to write a separate opinion explaining his views if the Court misses
the mark when deciding cases. Even though he will be one of the
longest-serving members on the Supreme Court, Justice Sanders is amazingly
hardworking, and as passionate as ever about protecting individual rights,
and holding government accountable when it overreaches.

Before coming to the Supreme Court, Justice Sanders was one of the state's
preeminent land use litigators, winning multiple cases before the Court of
Appeals and Supreme Court. He taught seminars to other lawyers on how to sue
local government for damages when it was needed ("Staking the Vampire:
Seeking money damages from local government") and was a recognized as a top
expert in the law of takings, due process, and permitting.

A former Court of Appeals Judge filed against Sanders, and
immediately began mud-slinging attacks of the lowest type. This opponent was
appointed to the appellate bench by Governor Mike Lowry, but only served a
short while before voters removed him at the next election.

. <http://fs11.formsite.com/stshore/formJusticeSanders2/index.html> We
urgently need your assistance, right now, to help re-elect Justice Sanders,
because the winner in this race is expected to be decided at the August
primary election. Why? Because in judicial races, any candidate who gets
more than 50% of the vote in the primary is elected.

Justice Sanders could be knocked out of the race in the primary if we don't
step forward to help him now. Please go online to www.FriendofJustice.com
<http://www.friendofjustice.com/> to learn more about Justice Sanders and
to make a <http://fs11.formsite.com/stshore/formJusticeSanders2/index.html>
contribution to his re-election campaign.

If you value a judge who cares about property rights and the rights of
individuals, please make a contribution. Please make out a check today to
Friends of Justice. Corporate and personal checks in any amount (up to
$1,600/$3,200) are welcome. Contributions can be mailed to: Justice Richard
B. Sanders - PO Box 2241 Olympia, WA 98507.
