1.    NPDES Stormwater Management Program overview 

2.    NPDES Project schedule update and upcoming Planning Commission
briefings 

3.    Technical overview of the Drainage Manual and revisions to the
Engineering Design and Development Standards (EDDS) 

 

 

 

Background 

 

Each year, the Washington State Department of Ecology (Ecology) requires
Snohomish County to update its NPDES SWMP document and inform members of the
public as to how they can be involved in and affect proposed actions. 

 

Ecology also requires the County to revise its existing drainage, grading
and low impact development codes, Engineering Design and Development
Standards (EDDS), and Drainage Manual. 

 

Please join us on February 4, 2010, when the Snohomish County Departments of
Planning and Development Services and Public Works will present information
on three topics: (1) an overview of the County's 2010 Stormwater Management
Program (SWMP), which describes actions taken to comply with the National
Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) municipal stormwater permit;
(2) an update of the NPDES project schedule, including the upcoming
briefings for the Planning Commission; and (3) a technical overview of the
proposed Drainage Manual and revisions to the EDDS.
