[Capr-announce] A good night for CAPR!

To all CAPR supporters,

The CAPR Legal Fund had an excellent night this evening at the annual
candidates fundraising dinner sponsored by the Eastside Republicans Club.
Due to this being a "lite" year as far as candidates go, the ERC included
three organizations in the dinner.  In total, $24,995 was raised. Of that
amount, CAPR walked away with (drum roll, please) $14,995!!!  And the next
closest donation amount went to Dan Satterberg, the Republican candidate for
King Co. Prosecutor.  In addition, CAPR will receive an incremental addition
of funds from the ERC which is yet to be determined.  Add to that, the 10%
matching contribution available on all Legal Fund contributions from another
supporter and the recognition that CAPR received before a large, politically
active crowd, it is easy to see that we had a good night!

Although there were many CAPR people in the crowd, there was also one or
more "heavy hitters" in the crowd that went our way.  However, regardless of
the size of the contribution, we thank all who made this event successful
for the organization!
