  Election Notice

  The King Conservation District is holding a public election on Tuesday,
March 22, 2005 to fill position No.2 on its five member Board of
Supervisors. Polling stations will be staffed at the five locations listed
below. All King County registered voters are eligible and encouraged to vote
in this election.

  Polling locations are open from noon to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday March 22,
2005

    a.. King Conservation District Office. 935 Powell Ave SW Renton, WA

    b.. Enumclaw Community Center. 1350 Cole St. Enumclaw, WA

    c.. Snoqualmie Valley Senior Center. 4610 Stephens Ave. Carnation, WA

    d.. City of Seattle City Hall Lobby. Downtown Seattle

  King Conservation District board positions are unpaid. Board members are
responsible for over-seeing District operations, staff, financial
administration, and for guiding the direction of District programs and
policies. The King Conservation District total annual budget is
approximately 2.5 million dollars.  It's operating budget is approximately
$950,000 with 12 full time staff. Regular board meetings are held once a
month on the second Wednesday of every month from 6:00 p.m. to approximately
9:00 p.m.
